Youth Strategy

Young People at the Centre is a strategy that has been developed with and for the young people living in the George Town Council area.

Young people come from diverse cultural, social, spiritual and economic backgrounds.  The Council is mindful that its processes need to be flexible and proactive so all young people can have a say and access Council on a regular basis.

The Youth Strategy has two primary functions:

1. To name the issues facing young people in the George Town municipality, and
2. To suggest some approaches for addressing those issues.

Young People at the Centre was made possible with funding from the Tasmanian Government Office for Children and Youth Affairs.
