Piper's Brook - Cellar Door & Restaurant

Established 40 years ago, Pipers Brook Vineyard is known as the cool-climate pioneer for fine wines in Australia.

Located close to Bass Strait, the Pipers Brook region benefits from a cool maritime climate and rich volcanic soils. Added to this, the scenery is spectacular as you drive through the vines and through the vineyards and get a glimpse of the Ninth Island in Bass Strait. Having enjoyed the visual feast on the meander through the vines, you arrive at the architecturally awarded winery building.

In the Cellar Door you are able to taste the award winning range of Kreglinger, Pipers Brook Vineyard and Ninth Island Vineyard wines, from the amazing sparkling wines to the Single Site 'Lyre' Pinot Noir. In the Pipers Brook Vineyard Cafe you will also find a contemporary lunch menu and a range of homemade cakes and biscuits, as well as great coffee.

The Pipers Brook region, and Tasmania, has become increasingly well known for sparkling wine production. Given the favourable climatic conditions, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are able to thrive in the maritime region of Pipers Brook. This lends itself to fruit with perfect fruit/acid balance, which in turn allows the production of world class sparkling wines. The area is also well known for Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc.

Open every day apart from Christmas Day, the Pipers Brook Vineyard Cafe and Cellar Door is a delightful place to stop and relax and taste some wines from the oldest commercial vineyard in Tasmania.
